Study of Compliance, Pattern of Treatment Interruption and Adverse Events Reported by Anaemic Pregnant Women Receiving the Parenteral Iron Sucrose Therapy

Background: In spite of many efforts by the government since independence anaemia in pregnant women has shown resistance to improvement. Aim: The main aim was study compliance parenteral iron sucrose therapy woman along with an additional objective which pattern treatment interruption and adverse events observed them. Methods: This conducted Department Community Medicine rural urban field practice area district Nuh. A list three hundred eighty four anaemic females put on IVIS therapy, fetched from health centre relevant details were documented. Result: Out total 384 participants, 291 (75.8%) compliant i.e., they received all doses. 93 either non-compliant or partially subjects, most them (51.6%, n=48) missed 3 doses whereas 22 participants (23.7%) 2 therapy.
